Network & Security Solutions: Strategic Supplier Relations Manager
Position Purpose:
In the Role of Strategic Supplier Relations Manager you will be responsible for managing multiple vendor relationships/programs and creating marketing plans to promote growth and profitability. You will become the supplier's primary point of contact and a valuable strategic resource for the sales team.
Responsibilities include:
  • Developing profitable growth strategies with key suppliers supported by executable initiatives that deliver results in line with short and long term company goals
  • Build and maintain outstanding Vendor relationships.
  • Articulate Vendor's value and differentiating features & benefits to internal sales team.
  • Articulate Anixter's value, capabilities and differentiating features to our Vendor Partners and Customers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and product performance. Work with Inventory Management team to develop inventory models and replenishment strategies
  • Lead and implement business performance reviews, developmental plans, and supplier negotiations
  • Develop and maintain sales tools.
  • Maintain appropriate product information databases and internal website.
  • Understand key business drivers for product categories to support sales growth.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Sales/Marketing
  • Post-secondary education in related field or equivalent related work experience.
  • Ability to exceed expectations through relentless execution of a plan.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Possess the ability to work independently, as well as a strong team player.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where continuous learning is required in order to grow personally and professionally.
  • Computer skills; MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
