SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager in tandem with the Director develops, implements, and manages comprehensive marketing plans within the budget resources to maximize sales of the Secondary Literacy and Supplemental product line.
The Marketing Manager works with the Director to coordinate and manage all marketing activities for the product line. This person is the liaison for in-house departments and the sales team for information and questions concerning the product. Marketing activities for the product include, but are not limited to the following: positioning and launch of product, market research, sales input meetings, customer Advisory Boards, National Conferences and exhibits, pricing, packaging, analysis of cost for all marketing areas. The Marketing Manager must have strong written and verbal communication skills. The Marketing Manager should demonstrate an understanding of web ?based technologies.
SCOPE AND IMPACT OF JOB
Supervisory responsibilities
Manages all marketing activities related to various Secondary Literacy and Supplemental Products.
Specific product marketing responsibilities might shift as Literacy and Supplemental products move through the various development phases.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
>40%Coordinate with Product Management, Marketing Managers, Integrated Marketing Services team, and the Field to develop effective marketing and product launch plans. Facilitate the development and maintenance of the product lines by serving as the liaison between the customer, sales force, and product development teams.
20%Develop effective sales support materials, including product presentations and adequately train the Field on respective product lines.
20%Work with Product Management to conduct competitive analyses and provide the sales force with effective competitive selling strategies.
10%Participate in tradeshow and events planning to optimize product messaging at such events.
10%Develop and execute product sampling strategy in support of assigned product lines.
Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
+ Bachelor?s degree required. Educational background preferred.
+ Experience in educational publishing preferred.
+ High degree of Computer Literacy required: Expertise in PowerPoint, Excel, WORD, Outlook, etc.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Experience with and understanding of web-based technologies.
+ Strong interpersonal skills required: Must be able to interact successfully with customers, sales team, product development team, and product management team.
+ Good time management skills and organizational skills required.
+ Experience in online marketing techniques required, including email, social media, product demos (such as Brainshark or Camtasia) required.
+ Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven, collaborative climate required.
Other Requirements:
+ The Marketing Manager must have strong written and verbal communication skills. The Marketing Manager should demonstrate an understanding of web ?based technologies.
+ The person in this position must be a competent, pro-active professional who displays good judgment, is capable to identifying client needs, and can work independently with confidence to respond appropriately and effectively to a diversity of requests.
+ The Marketing Manager should have experience in defining and executing marketing plans and campaigns and in working with advertising, exhibits and the creation of other promotional tools.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
