ITW is searching for a Matching Gift and Volunteer Program Coordinator to serve in its? Community Affairs department at its headquarters in Glenview, IL. The Matching Gift and Volunteer Program Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to all aspects of the Matching Gift and Volunteer Program to all levels of employees and retirees in the company. The position is responsible for supporting the day to day functions of these benefits. Data entry and strong customer service skills are essential as well as a teamwork attitude and focus on continuous improvement.
+ Data entry and processing paper applications for both the matching gift and volunteer programs.
+ Electronic filing of forms and acknowledgement letters into a storage program monthly.
+ Validate organizations, gifts and hours.
+ Approve all matching gift and volunteer entries.
+ Manage discrepancies of gifts/hours with donor and not-for-profit organizations.
+ Check processing
+ Run and complete check report
+ Print approved checks
+ Run and complete check letter report
+ Print check letter
+ Assemble checks and letters for mailing
+ Customer Service
+ Assist both employees/retirees and not-for-profit organizations with all customer service related questions and matters.
+ Responsible for managing email accounts of both programs.
+ Accountable for managing voicemail box for both programs.
+ Work closely with not-for-profit administrators in understanding and using the CyberGrants on-line technology.
+ Assist employees/retirees with CyberGrants technology.
+ Work closely with our CyberGrants account manager and team pod to ensure efficient process.
+ Combine/update donor and organization information in CyberGrants.
+ Work with internal departments and HRIS to keep program benefits up-to-date on various internal web sites.
+ Administrative support for approved volunteer projects.
+ Participate in special projects as assigned, which may include cross-functional Community Affairs and company teams.
+ Manage corporate check requests and distribution of checks to appropriate personnel or organizations.
+ College courses towards Corporate Citizenship, Corporate Social Responsibility or Customer Service preferred.
+ Experience in Community Affairs or human resources or related discipline preferred.
+ Minimum 1-2 years previous experience in data entry.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
+ Ability to work in a challenging business environment demonstrating flexibility by managing numerous priorities.
+ Results oriented, highly motivated, able to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
+ Ability to work independently and work well in a team environment.
+ Ability to collaborate and build relationships cross-functionally.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
